Women’s Recovery Association is committed to preserving your privacy and safeguarding your sensitive information.

To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Women’s Recovery Association website, including the Get Help Now and Refer a Client forms. The types of personal information collected at these pages are name, address, email address, phone number, relationship to client, and additional information and messages entered into the form.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself or a client to contact you about getting help or help for a referral. We do not share this information with outside parties.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Cookies:

The Women’s Recovery Association website uses “session cookies” which are not stored in any long-term way. Websites use session cookies to ensure that you are recognized when you move from page to page within one site and that any information you have entered is remembered. You can choose to accept or not accept session cookies by changing the settings in your browser.

Web log files:

Like most web site administrators, we use log files that record information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and page navigation. We gather this information to track web site visitor movement in the aggregate, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Our goal in gathering this information is to learn how our supporters and the public are using our service, and to improve our site based on this information. IP addresses that are recorded by our log files are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Protecting personal information:

Women’s Recovery Association takes every precaution to protect supporter information. We limit access to this information to trusted employees only.

Our Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Collecting personal information through PayPal:

When you make a donation online to WRA using the PayPal button, PayPal collects a variety of personal information about you in order to properly process your donation. This personal information may include: name, address, phone, email address, your credit card information, “acknowledgement” or “in memory of” information, and donation amount. PayPal shares this information with WRA and we enter your information into our donor database.

We do not share any of your personal information without your explicit knowledge and permission. We encourage you to review our privacy policy and that of PayPal before making an online donation. In some cases, you may have the option to make your donation anonymously. If you choose this option, PayPal will not share any of your contact information with Women’s Recovery Association.

Women’s Recovery Association provides links to other web sites as a resource for visitors. We encourage you to view their privacy policies as well. Any information you share with these web sites is subject to their policies and practices and is independent of Women’s Recovery Association.
